Terms of service

1. Who we are. syrovatskaya.com (Syrovatskaya Books & Curiosities) is run by Ivan Zhevakin, a self-employed trader (autónomo) registered in Spain, Avinguda Diagonal 88, 6H, 08019 Barcelona, Spain. Email: syrovatskaya.pro@gmail.com. Items are catalogued by Anna Syrovatskaya.

2. These terms. They apply to every purchase on this website. If you buy as a consumer, nothing in them takes away rights that the law of your country of residence gives you.

3. The items. Everything we sell is second-hand or antiquarian, and each item is a single copy. The description, condition notes and photographs are part of the contract. Signs of age that the description mentions or the photographs show aren't defects.

4. Orders. After you order we email a confirmation of what you bought. Because each item is unique and also listed on other channels, an item can occasionally sell twice at the same moment. If that happens we cancel your order and refund you in full straight away.

5. Prices and payment. Prices are in euros and include VAT where it applies. Second-hand goods are sold under the margin scheme (REBU), so VAT isn't shown separately on invoices. You pay at checkout using the payment methods shown there. Shipping is quoted and paid separately, as set out in the shipping policy.

6. Delivery. Delivery, customs and transit damage are covered by the shipping policy. The item is your responsibility from the moment it is delivered to you.

7. Cancelling. You have 14 days to cancel, as set out in the returns and refunds policy.

8. Legal guarantee. We're responsible for any lack of conformity with the description that exists at delivery and shows within one year of delivery, the period Spanish law allows for second-hand goods. Because each item is unique, the remedy is normally a full refund or a price reduction rather than repair or replacement.

9. Liability. Our liability for an order is limited to its price and shipping, except where the law doesn't allow such a limit.

10. Personal data. We use your details to process and deliver your order, as explained in our privacy policy.

11. Law and complaints. These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you buy as a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and can bring a claim in its courts. Please write to us first; we answer within 5 business days. We don't currently take part in consumer arbitration.
