Surimono (摇物), e-goyomi (盲曆), hashira-e (柱絵, catalogued here as nagaye), ōban, drawings, illustrated books — one of them formerly in Edmond de Goncourt’s collection — and stencils.
Keisai Eisen, Yashima Gakutei, Totoya Hokkei, Hokusai, Utagawa Kunisada, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Ryūryūkyo Shinsai, Kubo Shunman, Utamaro and Hiroshige are among the artists. Richly illustrated, mostly in black and white, with four plates in colour.
Binding & condition
Original pictorial wrappers. Good: lightly rubbed and soiled, some creasing to the front cover.
